- Auto-correction toggle
- 461 Japanese emoji icons
- Support for new languages
- The Line-in audio is activated and can be used through the headphone jack.
- New features of Maps application:
- Google Street View (iPhone v2.2 beta1).
- Google Transit information - Routes public transport (iPhone v2.2 beta2).
- Walking directions (iPhone v2.2 beta2).
- Location sharing.
- New features of the App Store:
- The sector 'Categories' now shows the icons of the applications instead of the list.
- All of the application pages has the button 'Tell A Friend' & 'Report A Problem'.
- Added the possibility of scoring the application when the user chooses to delete from the device.
- Added the possibility for direct downloading of podcasts from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store.

How about something like location services automatically turning OFF when you exit an app that uses it. And maybe in Settings, have the option to "list" the apps that can use location services and you can select which ones you want to allow.
Copy/paste is another big one that should be on the very top of Apple's list, and how about some bluetooth funtionality that is more than mono Headset and carkit connections?
How about WiFi File sharing?
There are sooo many things that should be addressed before releasing any new features it's not funny.
